2 c butter
2 tsp baking soda
3 c blended oatmeal**
2 c brown sugar
1 oz Hershey bar, grated
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla
4 c flour
2 c sugar
24 oz choc chips
1 tsp salt
4 eggs
3 c chopped nuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter and both sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Add choc chips, Hershey bar and nuts.

Roll into balls and place 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.

**measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder.

I don't roll into balls--just drop by spoonfuls. And I use milk chocolate chips, probably only 16-20 oz, so they aren't so chocolaty.

I can't make a chocolate chip cookie, but I can make these. They are really good.
