Filling:
8 to 10 firm ripe pears, peeled, cored and cut into slices lengthwise
1 c. fresh or frozen cranberries
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Topping:
1 c. flour
2/3 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. old-fashioned oats
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter, cut into pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Toss the filling ingredients in a bowl to combine well. Transfer to a 9 X 11 pyrex dish. Sprinkle topping over filling. Bake at 350 for about one hour (until top is golden and juices bubble.)

This was served at the Lamplight Inn where Eric and I stayed on our honeymoon. Every morning the innkeeper served a huge breakfast buffet accompanied by opera music.
