1 cup butter 1 cup sugar 1 unbeaten egg 2 teaspoons vanilla 3 cups flour 1/4 teaspoon salt
Cream the butter and sugar Blend in 1 unbeaten egg and 2 teaspoons vanilla Sift together the 3 cups of flour and 1/4 tesaspoon salt Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix well Divide the dough, chill part of it Roll out to 1/ inch thick Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 7-10 minutes
