"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda

5 cups rhubarb
6 egg yolks
1 cup cream
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp lemon juice

6 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt

Mix the crust ingredients together and crumble on the bottom of a 9 by 13 greased pan. You can pat it down, but then it seems to get a little hard, but still tastes good. Bake 10 minutes at 350.

Mix the filling ingredients and pour over baked crust. Bake till solid, about 45 minutes.

Beat egg whites and cream of tartar till fluffy- then add the sugar, vanilla and salt. Top dessert and bake 10-15 more minutes. Enjoy warm or cold.
