2 c sugar
dash of salt
1/2 c water
1/2 c light corn syrup
1 c raw peanuts
2 T butter (margarine)
1 tsp vanilla
2-3 drops red food coloring

Combine sugar, salt, water in glass bowl
Add corn syrup and bring to boil in microwave on high, remove (about 3-4 minutes)
Add peanuts and cook on high for 5 minutes
Remove and stir
Cook an additional 4minutes
Remove and let cool for 10 minutes without stirring. Go ahead and add butter, vanilla,and food coloring, but do not stir yet.
After 10 minutes,quickly stir until mixture is cloudy.Then pour mixture onto wax paper and let cool.When cool break into pieces. You can dip it out and make patties. If mixture gets too firm before getting out, just reheat in microwave. Store in sealable bag.
