1 C flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/8 tsp salt 1/2 C shortening 1/2 C sugar 1/2 C brown sugar 1 egg 1/2 C peanut butter 1 Tbsp water 1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 325º. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Cream together shortening and sugars. Add peanut butter, water and vanilla to sugar mixture. Stir in dry ingredients. Drop by teaspoons on cookie sheet. Mash with fork dipped in flour. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
