2 lbs yellow or green beans cleaned and cut
1 tsp cayenne pepper (red pepper)
4 cloves of garlic
2 1/2 c water
2 1/2 c vinegar
1/4 c canning salt

Directions:
Directions:
Pack beans into hot pint glass jars, leaving 1/4 inch of head space. To each jar, add 1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper, 1 clove of garlic, and 1 head of dill or 1/2 tsp dill seed.

Combine the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour boiling ingredients over beans, leaving 1/4 inch head space. Cap and process pints 10 min in boiling water bath. Let jars stand for 2 weeks in cool dark place before using.
