1 c powdered sugar
1 c white sugar
2 eggs
1 c butter
1 c oil
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond flavor
Mix together 4 &1/2 c flour with 1 tsp cream of tartar, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp salt.

Refrigerate over night. Roll out a ball of dough about the size of a softball. Use plenty of flour to keep the dough from sticking to the rolling pin.

Cut out using Christmas cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheet bake at 350 for 12 to 15 minutes. Watch carefully, you want them golden but not brown.

Cool, frost with confectioner's sugar frosting and sprinkle with colored sugar or other sprinkles.

Mom had the 4 of us, frosting these cookies at the kitchen table before we can remember.
We each had a plastic cereal bowl with frosting and a pastry brush., and bottles of different types of sprinkles. This is a good weekend afternoon family project.
