Ingredients: 1/2 C. butter, soften 1/2 C. shorten 1 1/2 C. sugar 1/2 C. molasses 2 egg's, beaten 4 C. all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 1/4 tsp.baken soda 2 1/4 tsp. ground ginger 2 tsp. ground cloves 3 tsp.ground cinnamon 1 C. granulated sugar ( for rolling)

Directions:In a large mixing blow, cream butter, shortening,and sugar until light and fluffy.Beat in molasses and egg's set aside. Combine dry ingredients by whisking them together in a lager blow until wellincorporated.add the flour mixture gradually to creamed butter mixture, beating until dough bended and smooth. Roll into 1-1/2 inch balls.Roll the dough balls additional granulated-sugar. place 2 inch apart on cookie sheet using parchment paper.Bake 350º for 11 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Store in tightly covered container to maintain softness. |
