1 cup butter/margarine
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
3 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp nutmeg

Frosting:
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
food coloring
drops of water
Sprinkles and other decorations

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter. Add sugar and eggs. Beat 'til fluffy
Add flour and dry ingredients. Chill at least 1 hour or overnight. Roll out. Bake at 425 for 8 minutes on greased cookie sheets
For frosting, mix melted butter and powdered sugar and vanilla. Stir in drops of water and food coloring until desired consistency.
