Directions:
Place the egg or eggs, straight from the refrigerator, in a deep saucepan--deep enough to accommodate them without crowding. Add 6 c. of cold water, regardless of the number of eggs, making sure all eggs are covered by at least a generous inch of water. Bring up to a rolling boil, uncovered, over high heat. Immediately take off the heat, cover, and allow eggs to stand 15 minutes. Plunge eggs at once into cold water to stop further cooking.
