5 lg pkg cream cheese 2 c sugar 6 eggs 2 pts sour cream 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 stick butter graham cracker crumbs
In a bowl of a mixer, cream together sugar and cream cheese. Beat well. Add the eggs one at a time mixing well after each addition. Add the vanilla and sour cream and beat well. Butter the bottom of a 10" springform pan. Sprinkle the bottom with graham cracker crumbs. Pour in the cream cheese mixture. Bake in a preheated 350º oven for 1 1/2 hours. Turn off oven and do not open door until it cools.
This is it! The famous cheesecake that made a command appearance at every family function. And Rose says it is good for you because it has eggs and A LOT of calcium.
