2/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. softened butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar (packed)
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Pre-heat oven at 350. Mix first six ingredients. Stir in remaining ingredients except chocolate chips. Then mix in chocolate chips.

Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown.
