1 1/2 lbs beef stew meat
1 T butter
2 onions sliced
2 T flour
1 cup red burgundy wine
1/2 cup water
1 tsp salt
freshly ground pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in large skillet. Add the meat and brown on all sides. Add the onion and saute until browned. When browned sprinkle with flour and stir. Add the wine, water, salt and pepper. Simmer for 1 hour or until the meat is tender.
