2 tsp butter
1 clove garlic
1/2 red pepper cut into thin strips
1 lb canned tomatoes
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tsp sugar
1/2 cup basil, chiffonade

3 c cooked rice

Directions:
Directions:
In a 10 inch skillet set over low heat melt butter. Add the garlic, onion and peppers and raise heat to medium. Stir often until onions are translucent. Add the tomatoes, salt, pepper and sugar. Simmer for about 15 minutes. Stir in shrimp and cook for 5 minutes more.
Serve over rice.
