Personal Notes:
This delicate recipe has been in the family as long as I can remember . So what is so exciting about this treat. For the last 20 years I had to call my mother or Carol Ann, my sister, at Christmas time to get this recipe. It has an incredible capability of disappearing between January and December. Perhaps now that we have captured it in this cookbook it will not only remain locatable but a delicious Christmas treat. Clay and P.D. have claimed that they get to eat all the broken ones which appear more frequently after the boys arrive for the holidays. At Christmas 2006, Carol Ann called to get the recipe, for her son P.D., now in his 40s. Nov 2007, I called Tess to get the recipe. 2008 Tess called for the recipe. Wonder how this year will go? The saga continues...
