2/3 c cranberry juice
1/2 c sugar
1 1/2 c fresh cranberries
1 t finely shredded lime peel
1 lime, peeled and sectioned
1/2 c dried cranberries
dash ground allspice

Purchased stollen, panettone or other holiday bread

Smoked cheese shards, chopped pecans, prosciutto or smoked meats (optional)

Directions:
In a medium saucepan combine cranberry juice and sugar. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved. Add fresh cranberries, lime sections, dried cranberries and allspice. Return to boiling. Reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes until mixture thickens( will thicken more upon chilling). Remove from heat; stir in lime peel. Cover and chill 4 hours or up to 3 days. Serve spread with desired bread and toppers. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
