Crust:
1 c. flour
2/3 c. brown sugar
1 T. Crisco shortening

FIlling:
1 egg
1 c. Schlorers Turkey syrup
3/4 c. hot water
1 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Crust:
Mix together all ingredients and reserve 1/2 cup for topping.

Filling:
Add 1 egg to the crust mixture and mix. Add syrup and mix. Finally add hot water and baking soda. Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle with remaining crust for topping. Bake at 375F for 20 minutes. Reduce to 325F and bake for another 20 minutes.
