1 lg can pork & beans (approx 2 lb size)
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
5 strips thick bacon
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup dark Karo syrup

Directions:
Directions:
Drain about 1/2 liquid off of beans and pour into 8x8 cassarole dish. Mix brown sugar and syrup into beans.

Punch onion pieces into beans.

Lay bacon strips over beans.

Bake uncovered at 300 for 3 hours. Turn off oven and let sit for 15-30 mins before serving.
