1 3-lb chicken, cut up
2 carrots, sliced
2 onions, sliced
2 celery stalks, sliced
1/2 to 1 tsp basil
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 cup water, chicken broth or white wine

Directions:
Directions:
Put carrots, onions and celery in bottom of crock pot. Add chicken. Top with salt, pepper, liquid. Sprinkle basil over top. Cover and cook until done. (Low 7-9 hours, High 2.5-3.5 hours) using 1 C liquid.
