1 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1 c shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/3 c flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 c cut up gum drops
1/2 c chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla. Spoon unsifted flour into measuring cup. Blend together flour, salt and soda. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in gumdrops and nuts. Mix well. Use a teaspoon to drop onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350F for 15 minutes.
