1 lb. ground beef
1 lb Italian sausage
2 - 8 oz cans tomato sauce
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
2 T. oil
1/4 c. minced onion
1 - 16 oz. can diced tomatoes
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
1 pear/round shaped mozzarella cheese ( 1 lb.), sliced
1 lb. lasagna pasta

Directions:

Brown beef, onions, and garlic in oil. Add tomato sauce, tomatoes, salt, pepper, and oregano. Simmer for 30 minutes. While the sauce simmers, cook the lasagna noodles according to the package directions. Drain noodles and set aside. Spray 9x13" pan with non-stick spray. Layer lasagna noodles, sauce and then slices of mozzarella cheese. Then dot the cheese with pinched of portions of Italian sausage. Bake for 30 minutes or until sausage is cooked.
