2 c flour
1 c sugar
1 &1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 baking soda
2 tbsp shortening
Orange zest from 1 orange
3/4 c orange juice
1 c raw cranberries, halved
1/2 c chopped nuts
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients in bowl, mix in the shortening, zest, juice and egg. Fold in cranberries. Pour into greased 9 x 5 x 3" loaf pan. Bake in 350 until it tests done with a toothpick, generally about an hour. Cool throughly before slicing. Slice with a thin sharp knife.
