3/4 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1/2 stick Crisco All veg shortening
1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
3 tablesp milk
1 tablesp vanilla
1 large egg
1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt

HEAT oven to 375 F Combine peanut butter, shortening, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla in large mixing bowl Beat at med. speed of electric mixer until well blended. Add egg, beat Combine flour baking soda and salt, Add to creamed mixture at low speed, Mix just until blended. Drop by rounded spoons full 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheet. Flatten slighty in a crisscross pattern with tines of fork. Bake 7 or 8 min or until se and beginning to turn brown. Cool 2 min on baking sheet, Remove cookies to cool rack Cool completely.
