2- 1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
4 Tbs. flour
3 egg yolks, beaten slightly
1 Tbs. vanilla
1 10" baked pastry shell
whipped cream
4 bananas, slightly ripe

Directions:
Directions:
Scald 2 cups of milk. Mix sugar, salt, flour and remaining milk together. Stir into hot milk and cook slowly until thickened, stirring constantly. Add hot liquid to egg yolks, and cook 1 minute longer. Mix in 2 T. butter and vanilla. Cool. Pour into baked pastry shell alternating layers with 3 1/2 sliced bananas. Spread w/ whipped cream. Serve with 1/2 sliced banana garnish.
