1 pound extra lean ground beef
1 (14 ¼ oz.) can fat free beef broth
1 ¼ c. chopped onions
2 (16 oz.)pkgs. frozen soup vegetables
1 (46 oz.) bottle low sodium V8
1 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
2 (14 ½ oz.)cans no-salt whole tomatoes, undrained, coarsely chopped
½tsp.salt 2 c. chopped cabbage (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook beef and onion in a Dutch oven over medium high heat until beef is browned, stirring to crumble. Drain in colander. Wipe drippings from pan with a paper towel.
Return beef mixture to pan. Stir in vegetable juice and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 1 hour.
