1 (sm.) head of cabbage, shredded
1 generous T. curry powder
1/2 c. Major Gray's chutney
salt & pepper to taste
1 c. mayonnaise
1 loaf dark pumpernickel bread
sliced ham
sliced Swiss cheese
butter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine shredded cabbage, mayonnaise, curry powder, chutney, salt and pepper. Mix well and refrigerate for at least 2 hr., better if refrigerated over night. Now make the sandwich. Start with a slice of bread, several slices of ham, several slices of cheese, a generous amount of slaw & top with another slice of bread. Butter each side of the sandwich & place in a hot skillet until the cheese is melted.
