1 lb lean ground beef 1 white onion, chopped 2 1lb cans of stewed tomatoes 1 16 oz can tomato sauce 4 cups water, 2 10 oz packages of frozen mixed vegetables 1 envelope dry onion soup mix 2 teaspoons sugar
In saucepan, brown ground beef with chopped onion, drain off excess fat. Transfer to soup pot, stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, frozen vegetables, onion soup mix, and sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes.
Can be cut in half for two people. This is the family recipe. Brooke likes this one ! :)
