1 medium onion, chopped
2 tsp butter
1 T flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 C milk
2 C wide egg noodles, cooked
1 can tuna (6 oz), drained & flaked
2/3 C frozen peas, unthawed
1/4 C rice chex crushed
melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender. Stir in flour, salt & pepper until blended. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in noodles, tuna and peas.

Transfer to a greased 1 qt baking dish. Crush rice chex and mix with melted butter. Sprinkle mixture on top of tuna & noodles. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 30-45 minutes or until bubbly.

I never knew there was a true homemade recipe for this casserole. It beats any other version I've ever had. Very tastey!
