cup shortening
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
tsp. baking powder
3 or 4 ripe bananas, crushed
tsp. salt
2 Tbs. milk
c nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Add milk and dry ingredients. Mix in bananas. Add nuts. Place in greased bread pan and bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool 5 minutes. Turn out of pan and cool completely before slicing.
