Ingredients:
1 lb. hamburger meat
1 onion
1 (14.5-oz.) can of mixed vegetables
1 (14.5-oz.) can of petite diced tomatoes
1 big can of tomato juice, not sure of the exact size
1 (14.5-oz.) can of whole kernal corn
diced potatoes, I use 3 med. size but you can use more
salt
pepper
garlic powder
Tony Chachere's Original Creole seasoning

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat and onions together, drain the grease. Add tomatoes, tomato juice, and seasoning to taste. If not soupy enough for you, add water but be careful not to water it down too much.because it will not taste as good. Put in potatoes. Bring to a boil and let cook over low heat until potatoes are almost done. Add your veggies and corn. Let simmer about 15 min; make sure the corn doesn't stick to the bottom. Serve with cornbread.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Laura is the daughter of Linda (Finkbeiner) Hicks and the granddaughter of Jeane (Hollenshead) Finkbeiner & the late Charles Finkbeiner. This usually makes about a 4 1/2 qt. pot full. You can add more of everything if you are feeding more people. It's one of my family favorites during the cool months. Heats up well if you make it the night before.
