1 c. Sugar
3 tbsp. Light Karo Syrup
1 tbsp. Water
Chopped Almonds, about 2 cups

Directions:
Directions:
In Heavy Pan [an Iron Skillet works well], Butter, Sugar, Karo Syrup, and Water. Cook over Medium heat stirring constantly and bring to boiling; continue stirring and bring to brittle thread stage or 300 on candy thermometer. Spread Almonds evenly on buttered cookie sheet and pour hot mixture over. Cool and then break into portions.
