3 3/4 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tarter
1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 T. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 375. Grease a cookie sheet. Sift together flour, soda, cream of tartar, and 1/2 tsp. salt. Beat butter for 30 seconds; add the 2 c. sugar and beat till fluffy. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla; beat well. Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture, beating till well combined. Form dough into 1" balls; roll in a mixture of the 3 T. sugar and cinnamon. Place balls 2" apart on a cookie sheet; flatten slightly with the bottom of a glass. Bake 8 min. or till light golden.
