1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, well-beaten
1 tsp. soda
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 (lg.) bananas, mashed
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine shortening, sugar, and eggs; blend well. Dissolve soda in 3 T. hot water; mix with sugar mixture. Add 1 c flour and salt; beat well. Add bananas, remaining flour, and vanilla; mix until smooth. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 375 for 45 min.

Hannah is the wife of Jason Hollenshead, the daughter-in-law of Jerry and Barbara (Chandler) Hollenshead and grand daughter-in-law of Virginia (Rogers) Hollenshead & the late John Hollenshead. This recipe was passed down from my mother-in-law.
