1 chocolate cake mix, prepared
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 jars of long-stemmed cherries
2 (12-oz) cartons Cool Whip
1 Hershey bar, shaved

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare and bake chocolate cake according to directions on box for 3 layer cake. Let cake cool. Combine 3/4 c sugar and 1-1/3 c. cherry juice (from jars of cherries) in a boiler & boil for 5 min. Poke holes in cake. Pour juice evenly over all 3 layers. Place layers in freezer till you feel like icing them. To prepare icing, combine 1/4 c. cherry juice, 1/2 c. powdered sugar, and Cool Whip. Chop one jar of cherries and spread evenly over 2 of the layers. Ice layers, top & sides of cake with Cool Whip. Top with long stemmed cherries and chocolate shavings. Store in refrigerator.
