3 cups sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 cup Crisco
5 large eggs
1/4 t salt
3 cups flour
1 small can (3/4 cup) evaporated milk plus water to make a total of one cup liquid
2 t almond extract ( or more, if you like)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, Crisco, and sugar. Add eggs & salt, cream well. Add remaining ingredients. Stir together. Pour into a very lightly greased bundt pan., Put into cold oven, set the temperature at 320 degrees. Bake 1 hour and 30 minutes. Cool 15 minutes and remove from pan. Option: Before serving top with whipped cream.
