little sugar
little vanilla
sprinkle of nutmeg (opt)

Beat the egg with an egg beater. Add the glass of milk with sugar and vanilla. Beat until mixed.

Mom would always make me an egg nog when I was sick in bed. It was the biggest treat in the world. Seems like I always had a cold around the time of the World Series. I would just lie there and listen to the series, the soaps and later The Lone Ranger etc. Those were the good old days.
