1c whole wheat flour
1t baking powder
1/2c applesauce
1/2c honey
1 ripe medium banana mashed
2 eggs
1t vanilla
1/2c cocoa powder
3T milk
1 1/2 tsp cinnimon - optional
1/2c chocolate chips - optional
1 oz walnuts chopped - optional
diabetic friendly fudge frosting

Preheat oven 350. Mix dry ingredients. Mix wet ingredients in a separate bowl. Stir in dry ingredients. Add in chocolate chips if wanted. Pour in prepared square baking pan 8 or 9". Sprinkle on nuts if wanted.

Bake 25-30 minutes until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (hope you don't hit a chocolate chip). let cool 20 minutes then spread a thin layer of your frosting of choice.

This tastes like a chocolate banana bread without anything on it, with the extras it tastes a lot like chocolate cake but it's healthier has low sugar and won't pack on the pounds. Also one slice is enough.
