Crumbs
1 c. flour
1 c. granulated sugar
6 T. butter (not too soft)
Mix together with pastry knife. Reserve c. (I make a little more so I have 1c.)

Liquid
c. molasses
1 c. boiling water
tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees
Prepare pie crust or use refrigerated crust

Crumbs: Mix together ingredients with pastry knife. Reserve c. (I make a little more so I have 1c.)

Liquid:
Stir ingredients until combined.

Pour liquid into crumbs. Stir 3 times. Mixture will be lumpy. Pour into unbaked pie crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce to 375 degrees for 30 minutes. (I sprinkle some of the crumbs on top after I reduce the heat and I leave it in the over the full cooking time)
