4 squares baker’s chocolate- melted
˝ lb oleo
2 t. vanilla
1lb. brown sugar
1 ˝ t. salt
1 t. baking soda
1 ˝ c. milk
4 c. flour
2 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients. Place by teaspoon on cookie sheets. Bake 350 for 10-12 min. test the cookie like a cake. If springs back it is done.
Place on tea towels to cool. While still slightly warm, ice with white icing.

The icing is more like a thick glaze rather than cake frosting. Grandma just used butter, powdered sugar, and milk to thin.
