3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
tsp. Italian seasoning
1/8 tsp. black pepper
2/3 c. beef broth
c. milk
3 c. cooked lamb (cubed) or ground beef
1 10 oz. pkg. frozen mixed veggies
2 2/3 c. prepared mashed potatoes (thawed and drained)
c. shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
In a 3-quart pot, melt butter; stir in flour, Italian seasoning, and pepper. Stir in broth and milk all at once. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in meat and vegetables. Transfer to a 2-quart casserole dish. Spoon mashed potatoes around the edge. Bake, uncovered, at 400F for 35 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake, uncovered, about 5 minutes more or until bubbly and potatoes are brown. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
