Prune Cake Recipe

3/4 c. shortening,
1 1/2 c. sugar,
3 eggs,
1 1/2 c sour milk( add 1 tsp. vinegar to sour the milk),
3 c. flour,
1 1/4 tsp. soda,
1 tsp. salt,
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg,
1 tsp. allspice,
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon,
3/4 tsp. cloves,
Add: 1 1/2 c cooked, pitted prunes,
1 c. chopped walnuts,

Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs and beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately to creamed mixture with sour milk. Add prunes and walnuts.
Bake in 350 oven for 1 1/2 hours in a well greased tube pan.
