8" Baked Pie Shell
3 Cups Fresh Strawberries, Cut in half
1 pint of vanilla ice cream
2 egg whites
1/4 cup of sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 500. Fill baked pie shell with 2 cups of chilled strawberries. Spoon ice cream over and top with remaining cup of strawberries. Put pie in freezer. For meringue, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until frothy. Gradually beat in sugar. Beat until stiff and glossy. Spread over pie. Bake 3-5 minutes until light brown. Serve immediately.
