4 c. apple juice,
2 tbl. packed brown sugar,
12 whole cloves,
3 inches stick cinnamon,
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg,
2 large apples, peeled,cored and quartered,
1 c. brandy,
3/4 c dark rum,
butter

Directions:
Directions:
In saucepan, mix apple juice, sugar, and spices. Simmer covered for 20 min. Add apples. simmer, covered till tender, about 10 min. or more. Strain. Return liquid to saucepan. Add liquors. Heat through. Place an apple quarter and a dot of butter in each mug. Pour in toddy.
