1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. quick cooking oats
1-2/3 c. chocolate chips or mix butterscotch chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. In large mixing bowl cream butter, shortening and sugars until well blended.
Add eggs one at a time, add vanilla, blend thoroughly. In small bowl stir together flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats and chips. Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes. Cool slightly and put directly into tightly covered container.

This is one of the best recipes I have found for oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, I sometimes mix in butterscotch chips.
