1 stick butter, 1 c. flour, 1 c. chopped pecans, 1 1/2 cups coconut, 8 oz. softened cream cheese, 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar, 1 t. vanilla, 2 sm. pkg. instant coconut cream pie filling, 2 c. milk, sm. pkg Cool Whip.

MIx butter, flour and pecans. Press into pie plate. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Cool.
Brown coconut in skillet and set aside.
Cream together cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla. In separate bowl mix instant pie filling and milk. Stir in 1/2 of the coconut.
Take 1/2 of the pie filling and mix with the cream cheese mixture. Spread in pie shell. Take remaining filling and stir in 1/4 to 1/2 Cool Whip and spread over cream cheese. Top with remaining Cool Whip.
