1 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. chips (butterscotch or chocolate chips or combine, also good with peanut butter and chocolate chips)
1 c. coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugars, butter, and vanilla; add eggs and then dry ingredients which have been sifted together. Add chips and coconut. Bake @ 350 for 10-12 minutes. (Grease pans.)

We love these cookies, but they are a little sweeter than they have to be. I've tried cutting down on the sugar and adding whole wheat flour and they still were pretty tasty. Go ahead and experiment!
