2 c. sifted whole wheat flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 T. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk (approximately)
1 egg (well beaten)
2 TB. melted butter or oil

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together dry ingredients. Add rest. Just add enough milk to make batter desired thickness. Drop by spoonfuls on hot, greased griddle. Bake until browned on underside and bubbles appear on top. Turn, brown.

This is a recipe I grew up on and has been in the family for years. It is a good way to use your food storage and they are filling, healthy and tasty.
