2 C sugar
1/2 C & 1 tsp karo syrup
1/2 C boiling water
2 egg whites
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 C cherries cut into eighths
1/3 C walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, syrup and water. Cook until hard ball. Beat egg whites and salt until stands in peaks. Pour in syrup mixture, add vanilla continue to beat until thickens and loses gloss. Stir in cherries and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls on wax paper or buttered plate.
