2 pkgs. yeast 1 1/2 cup warm water 4 cups plain flour 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup shortening 1 egg
Mix yeast and water according to direction with yeast. Mix all with 2 cups of flour. Beat 2 minutes, then beat in balance of flour by hand. Let rise 30 minutes Stir down & spoon into 18 muffin cups Let rise 20 minutes Bake 10 minutes at 425º Baste with sugar and butter
